When I went to his recovery room after his surgery I started laughing as did the guy nurse. Before I showed up in his room he had asked someone for a Diet Coke and he held it in his hand and I guess fell asleep (groggy) and it went all over himself and all the ice went in between his legs. When I walked in and said his name he mummbled "I asked for a Diet Coke for your mom, so tell her I have one for her". We all couldn't stop laughing. While in pain and coming out of the surgery and out of it he still thinks of others. I just sat there and held his hand and he just kept repeating "Im sorry it dropped, tell your mom to get a new one". It took awhile for him to wake up. They gave him loratab and something else in his IV, and the stuff in the IV made his so loopy and funny. I texted my mom to come back and me and her sat there trying to talk but everytime we did, he would try to get in the conversation. So for about 5 minutes so were both silent so he could fall asleep. We finally got out of there about noon..it was a long 5 hrs.
He will start physical therapy next Monday and hopefully will recover quickly! He has been out of work and school because of this issue with his hand.
This is when I walked in and saw the drink, you can see the ice by his legs.
He got a cute bear as we left. He wouldn't let me get a picture of him with the bear. :)

glad everything's alright! hopefully it gets back to %100 really quickly. nice picture of the ice/drink between his legs too! hilarious! i'm glad you guys are doing so well - well minus the surgery of course!
I'm glad that the surgery went OK! Man, I would have loved to see him all loopy. Ha ha!

I hope the recovery is going well!That's too bad that he had to have surgery but it's amazing what doctors can do these days!
