I found a new place that everyone needs to try when you need a pedicure. I love pedicures. I think I got addicted to them when I was going to Beauty School. I try to go about once every 2-3 months. Well this month alone I have gone twice.
First one I went too was at The Gateway called Sanctuary Day Spa. It was so nice. They take you into a back room where its very dark. You sit in these long chairs and stair at the ceiling which are stars blinking. Its beautiful. They have biscuits and drinks for you as you wait. Then the ladies come and introduce themselves and take you into another room which is where they do the pedicures. Its very nice upscale place. I went with my boss and my co-worker. We had a great time. The pedicure took about 45 minutes. As your toes dry they take you back to the room with the stairs and you just relax and think "this is the life". My boss paid for me so I didn't know how much it cost till I got online and looked..$50..wow.
The second place I went too is in Sandy and its called Pella Nails. A long lost friend that has come into my life again invited me. She has been there twice before and lives up that way so we headed over there. It was fantastic! Yes its an Asian place, and yes they dont speak very good English but wow was I suprised how good it was. The place I have been going for years called Star Nails in Farmington, is great, dont get me wrong. I love Lisa and Kevin that own it. But its always so "fast". Them two are usually the only ones working there so they work as fast as they can because of course they want MONEY $$. Well this place in Sandy they had about 7 workers working and it was very low key. My pedicure from start to finish took about 1 hr and 10 minutes. They used hot stones, hot towel, etc. Price you say..thats the best part..$20! Not kidding..Now if only I lived closer..

I go to the beauty school in Heber, and last time I went I paid $9 and it took them AN HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES!!!! It was seriously the best. It wasn't fancy and upscale, but the leg massage was to die for. The students are trained by the same people that do the pedicures at the Zermatt resort. So, if you're ever up Heber way, give me a call and I'll go with you!
