My new love book


I bought this book at Barnes and Noble this weekend and I can not put it down. Very much worth reading, even if you are not wanting to lose weight. I am going to start this week what it is recommending about eating and I will see if it helps me. This morning I made one of their recommended breakfasts;


ASPARAGUS OMELET

4 asparagus spears, sliced and 1 inch pieces

1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (I didn't have these so I didn't put it in mine)

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

salt

ground black pepper

1/2 cup spinach, minced as small as you can

3 egg whites

chives

nonstick cooking spray


It was very good! I even made it for my hubby Billy and he even really liked it, but he did cheat and add cheese and not egg whites, just 2 eggs. He laughed and said "this needs MEAT". blah blah. I liked it. I did cook 2 turkey sausages on the side so maybe next time Ill cook that and add it.


Any advice, anything works for you? ALSO, anyone out there drink protein drinks/shakes? I need to start and I need some good kinds.

I will have to check that out! I have almost all those ingredients, so I will make one of those omelets! They sound YUMMY! Have you ever gotten a Bountiful Basket? I got my first one yesterday and got lots of great asparagus! So I need to try this!

i really love the carnation breakfast essentials drinks... they are way better than like muscle milk and stuff like that. anyway... they taste really good! i have also been going to the gym lately and i really like the elliptical vs the treadmill. treadmill's are hard on my knees but elliptical's seem to be just as good of a workout anyway. as far as healthy eating though... i'm really not a person who should give advice. i pretty much eat garbage all the time.

Are you really trying to tell me that you ate asparagus AND spinich, and that if you had mushrooms you would have put them in????
Steve buys the muscle milk protien powder at Costco and puts it in smoothies...
