Susan Komen 5K/Sis Graduation

Last Saturday I did my very first 5K. I started preparing for it in February but in March I kinda stopped running. I got hooked at Zumba so I was pretty much was doing that everyday. I kept thinking "its only 3.2 miles, I can do it"..wow was I not prepared. I did good on the first mile but after that..I was having a tough time running it..I now know what I did wrong and need to do next time. I am planning on doing a bunch of 5k's this summer so hopefully I will beat my time each time I do one. Me and my boss Karen signed up for this 5K because my co-workers daughter that is 19 years old has breast cancer. So my co-worker, me and my boss did it together. My sisters have been doing the Susan Komen 5K for a bunch of years and every year they ask me to do it with them but I always decline (lazyyy). My sisters did it again this year and we had a special someone in my home ward that has breast cancer so we also did it for her :)

I love this picture of my co-worker Wally. Him running the 5K AS he is working HAHA, hes always on his phone :)

I couldn't believe how many people came out for this. I think there was like 20,000!

At the 2 mile point, I am smiling in the picture but I was DYING

WE DID IT!!

On Friday it was Morgan's graduation day, so proud of her!! We all went to dinner before the ceremony.

She got the coolest hat, she graduated from the U but we are big BYU fans :)

Sibilings minus Billy, he was stuck at work.

I am ready for a busy, fun filled Summer! BTW, I just realized this is my 200th post!

Way to go Megan!!!! Races are so much fun because of all the energy and enthusiasm. So proud of you! A 5K is tough work- keep it up. By the way, you graced that 5K with some serious S-T-Y-L-E.

Congrats to Morgan! What a great accomplishment.
