FIRST for everything

There is always a first for everything right? Well today was my FIRST time using my Kitchen Aid mixer. I got it from my grandma as a wedding gift and have never used it. I have been married for almost 2 years and I thought I better use it. Plus, I was sick of my mom and sister always getting mad at me for not using it and how its expensive and how WONDERFUL it is to have one. So my sister Krista came over to my house today and we cooked away. She taught me how to use my Kitchen Aid! I first had to clean out the bowl of the Kitchen Aid because well...it was kinda dusty haha. But I had a great time making cookies and banana bread. It was actually really fun to use my kitchen aid. The cookies didn't 'turn out like what we wanted, but thats ok. They went kinda flat, but than after telling Krista that my flour and sugar has been sitting in those air tight jars since I've been married, she figured out why they went flat. HAHA. Since I have a big kitchen now and SO much room, I am going to start cooking more! Here are some pictures of our good work!
