Conference Weekend

What beautiful weather we had over Conference Weekend. When we got off work on Friday we headed up to Tremonton and went camping at the Hot Springs Camperworld. I have not camped at this camperworld in 7 years so it was fun to try some where different other than Echo. During the days we would turn on the A/C in the trailer but at night we would have the heater on, I love that kind of weather. It means Fall is around the corner. It was so nice to just leave all my stress, issues, LIFE at home. Since I was little we always tried to get away for Conference weekend, either camping or at the cabin. I hope to keep this going as Billy and I start having a family one day.
By the time we got up there all my family was already up there except my sis Krista and her hubby Jay. My dad had made his amazing dutch oven chicken, ribs and potatoes. That evening me, billy and our two nieces sat around the campfire and told ghost stories. It was so funny!! I started off with the ghost story and as the story kept going I could see my cute 4 year and 5 year old nieces eyes has big as oranges. So I had the make the ending funny and not scary. We went around and each person told a story. I love hearing my nieces imagination. My dad came over and my niece asked him to tell a ghost story and so he told a story. When he said "The End", my niece Abee turned to me and said "That wasn't a ghost story..that was a bear story!". I laughed so hard, she is adorable.

Saturday we woke up and watched conference, wow was it amazing. I think I cried a lot through most of the talks Saturday morning. That evening the guys got ready for the priesthood session. Wow was that a story in itself. First of all, my brother in law was getting his church pants on and tripped and ripped a huge whole through his pants..so he wore jeans and a church shirt and tie. My dad was getting dressed in the trailer and realized he forgot a church shirt and my brother forgot his church clothes all together so he wore just some nice work clothes. Billy was the only one that brought ALL his church clothes. It was really funny. Us ladies thought it was pretty hilarious. We all just said "Dont worry, were in Tremonton, everyone will probably be wearing jeans to the Stake Center". When they got back, we were right, some did wear jeans. :)
While the men were at priesthood, us girls went over to the swimming pool and had a fun time. The pool is open year round because it warmed up by hot springs, so it felt like I was swimming in a tub water.

Krista forgot to bring her swimsuit so we had to get a cute picture of her.

Teaching Abee to lay on her back
When the guys got back we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows as the men told us all about priesthood.

Billy roasting twinkies, he just loves it..nasty.

Sunday Billy and I got up and made breakfast for everyone. We made french toast, bacon and eggs. The little girls did so good while we all watch conference. They just sat on the floor and colored and worked on Conference packets.

They made some yummy navajo tacos.

This is now hanging in the trailer. Its pretty funny.
I feel so rejuvinated after conference. I love hearing the words of the apostles.
